MARSHALL, Texas – Eight Marshall FFA officers attended the Waskom Leadership Summit Wednesday where they were involved in leadership conferences for local, state and national officers of the FFA Organization.

The purpose of the summit was “to inspire these officers to lead the Marshall FFA in a positive direction and give them the knowledge of how to do so,” said Jessica Shadix, Marshall High School Agriscience teacher and FFA advisor.

Marshall FFA is the 10 largest FFA program in the state of Texas and “proper leadership is key to the success of our 570 members,” Shadix added.

FFA ORGANIZATION

The FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of agricultural career pathways. So today, we are still the Future Farmers of America. But, we are the Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers and Future Entrepreneurs of America, too!

We Believe

As different as we are, we all desire the same. No matter who we choose to love, how big our bank account, how light or dark our skin, who we vote for, how old or young, where we grew up, how strong our accent or what language we speak, we have a need for the same thing. We all want a sense of belonging. We all want a place where we are respected, connected and affirmed.

Our Vision

To build an empowered community and more inclusive organization where every person is respected, connected and affirmed.

Our Opportunity

Deliver national programs and provide resources that serve as a model in removing barriers and creating opportunities for success for every student, every day, in every classroom.
