Emergency personnel searching for missing oil field worker after storm

HARRISON COUNTY – Harrison County emergency personnel are searching for a missing oil field worker south of Waskom after tornadoes were reported in the Elysian Fields/Waskom area.
Around midnight, Saturday, April 30, via text, the Piney Woods News received the following information from Lt. Jay Webb of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
“We have a reported tornado from Elysian Fields that was heading north toward Waskom,” Webb’s message stated. “Another tornado was reported at the intersection of FM Nine and 1999.”
According to Webb’s statement, there was lots of debris on the roadway along with downed trees.
No further information is available at this time.
