Meadowbrook Funeral Home – Dorothy Waugh George
MARSHALL-Dorothy Waugh George, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Marshall, Texas at the age of 82. Dorothy was born on April 24, 1934 in Ashland, Kentucky to Forrest and Flossie Waugh. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life, Chester George. He preceded her in death in 2004. She is also preceded in death by her two great-granddaughters, Ashley Stuart and Laci Moore.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Murph and cherished son-in-law, David Murph; her sons, Gary George and David George; her cherished grandchildren, Crystal Stuart, Amanda Wales and husband, Will, Shannon Summers and husband, Joe, Harley George, Ashley George and April Arteaga and husband, Hector; her sister, Mildred Griffith and numerous great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved playing Bingo, was a member of TOPS and was a good, sweet lady who would help anyone. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
