Marshall Police seeking help in hit-and-run!

The Marshall Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash
that left one man with life-threatening injuries. On Monday, November 7, at approximately 6:48 p.m., officers were called to the 1500 block of East Houston Street in reference to a vehicle hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene of the crash. Upon arrival, first responders found an older male lying in the roadway at the intersection of East Houston St. and Hazelwood St. The man, whose name is being withheld at this time, was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall with what are described as life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses on the scene reported hearing the crash and observing a black Dodge, 2-door pickup truck leaving the scene. The truck is believed to be a single cab with a short wheel base and aftermarket pipes and rims.
Chief Jesus “Eddie” Campa stated, “This type of behavior will not be tolerated in the City of Marshall. We urge anyone who has any information about this incident to notify police as soon as possible. Keeping the community safe is our main objective.”
