Drug arrest by Marshall Police Department SWAT Team

kelvin-brown-dl-pic On Tuesday, November 1, at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Marshall Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Spruce Street. The warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation involving narcotics. During their search, officers seized several firearms, methamphetamine, marijuana and suspected stolen property.

As a result, 39-year-old Kelvin Dewayne Brown, was taken into custody. Brown is a convicted felon currently on parole. He was booked into the Harrison County Jail where he is charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. More charges could be forthcoming.

The Marshall Criminal Apprehension Team, MPD’s patrol unit, Marshall Criminal Investigation spruce-warrant-1 spruce-warrant-2 spruce-warrant-3 spruce-warrant-4 spruce-warrant-5Bureau and SWAT team all assisted in the investigation.
