Graduation plans announced for MHS

MARSHALL –Marshall High School Class of 2016 Commencement will take place on Friday, June 3, 2016, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Commencement is currently scheduled for Maverick Stadium, weather permitting.

In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be held in Maverick Gymnasium. As has been the practice every year, seniors will receive four tickets for graduation Friday morning, in the event the graduation ceremony must be moved to Maverick Gym due to weather.

PLEASE NOTE: these tickets are ONLY required for admittance if graduation MUST BE MOVED INDOORS to the gym; if weather permits commencement to be held in the stadium, no ticket will be required.

District and school officials will monitor the weather and forecasts throughout the day on Friday and will make a final call on the location of graduation sometime Friday afternoon. Students and community will be notified at that time through the district’s call-out system, and notices will be posted on the district’s Facebook (“Marshall Isd”) and Twitter (@MarshallISD) pages, as well as district website (www.marshallisd.com).
