Wiley College athletes participate in Home Depot’s Retool Your School
The Wiley College Athletics Department, along with other members of the college partnered with Home Depot to paint the Student Union Building during Retool Your School Friday.
The event was a result of Wiley College finishing second in the Retool Your School Twitter Campaign last spring. Home Depot gave Wiley a gift of $30,000 to put towards a project. Each team was assigned a room or wall to paint.
“It was important for our athletes to participate because it shows they have pride in more than just their sport,” said Jameus Hartsfield, who is the associate athletic director and head men’s basketball coach. “It shows we have pride in the campus community as well.”
The Student Union will have its Grand Opening on November 4.
