WECC’s Alison Payne named Patterson Auto MISD Teacher of the Week

Alison Payne, Head Start teacher at Washington Early Childhood Center, has been named the Patterson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Marshall MISD Teacher of the Week.

Mrs. Payne was surprised on Wednesday morning by Patterson representatives Suzanne Willis and Kristin Skinner, along with WECC Principal Detrice Fisher who nominated her for the award.

“Mrs. Payne is starting her 15th year in education,” said Mrs. Fisher. “She loves working in Pre-Kindergarten and it’s evident in her positive relationships with students and her classroom interactions and lesson delivery. Her teaching doesn’t stop here because when she gets home there are four beautiful children that get all of her attention and expertise in education!”

For being selected as Teacher of the Week in MISD, Mrs. Payne received a gift check from Patterson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram as well as a certificate of recognition and balloons.

Patterson has sponsored the weekly MISD Teacher of the Week program since the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. Campus principals have the opportunity to nominate a deserving teacher from their campus on a rotating basis throughout the year. The nominee is then met on a morning during the week with a surprise visit from Patterson representatives.
