TxDOT to demolish bridge in Hallsville

ATLANTA — Work crews will be demolishing the existing FM 450 bridge over I-20 Sunday night south of Hallsville. This will require the closing of both I-20 and FM 450 to through-traffic. The road closures will begin at 5 p.m. onSunday, May 22, and should be back open to traffic by 5 a.m. on Monday, May 23.
Traffic on I-20 will be detoured to the off and on ramps at FM 450. Traffic on FM 450 will be detoured onto I-20 and FM 968. Once the bridge is demolished and on the ground, FM 450 will be reopened to traffic. The construction schedule and highway closures can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems.
