MJHS Choir earns 54 medals at Solo and Ensemble competition

MARSHALL, Texas – The Marshall Junior High School Choir collected 54 first-division medals from Solo and Ensemble Contest held Tuesday here in Marshall.

“We had fantastic results from this year’s contest,” said Leslie Laney, MJHS Choir Director. “The judges were very impressed with the talent here in Marshall.”

The 54 medals were more than twice the amount won by MJHS Choir students last year, Laney added. Marshall had 45 soloists and three ensembles in the competition.

“We are so proud of these students’ hard work,” Ms. Laney said. “It really showed in the results.”
