David Crockett celebrated Texas Public Schools Week with a picnic. Families were invited to come eat lunch with their child, including Rachel Holliday who enjoyed a nice lunch with her son, kindergarten student Thomas Holliday.

Have Some Pie
South Marshall STEM Academy held a Box Tops for Education Challenge that included some staff — including Mrs. Burns, Principal, and Mrs. Johnson, Assistant Principal — getting some tasty pies to the face.
3-11-16 SME Landform Project 4
This Land Is Our Land
South Marshall kindergarten students worked on their Landform STEM Research Project. Students worked in cooperative groups to research landforms, their physical characteristics, weather, living organisms that live there and location on the globe.

Off And Running
Congratulations to the MJHS Cadets, who traveled to Ft. Worth recently and brought home a fourth-place championship trophy. They also received a 1st Division, Superior rating. Congratulations to these young ladies and to Mrs. Crystal Walker, sponsor, for a great showing in just their first year!

Time To Paws For An Important Message

Sam Houston Art students joined forces with the Marshall Police Department and Marshall Animal Shelter to beautify their donation jug for helping at future events in the community. MPD Chief Jesus Eddie Campa, Lieutenant Glenn Stone, Shelly Godwin, Amy Bennett and Donald Gordon visited SHMS to collect the jug and personally thank Ms. Dunn’s Art students: Nelbi Grimaldo, Kaitlyn Moore and Angela Sanchez for their crafty hands in recreating the newest shelter logo on the donation jug.
