Man Arrested After Burglarizing House

lpdOn September 20, 2016 at 10:51 a.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a Suspicious Person call in the 700 Block of Lane Wells Drive. As Officers arrived at the scene the suspect was coming around the back of the house with what appeared to be a duffel bag and a backpack. The suspect grabbed a bicycle and fled from officers. He was apprehended a short time later in the 300 Block of Bogie Drive. The suspect was identified as 31 year-old Detric Deshawn Sheffield, of Longview. He was transported to the Gregg County Jail without incident and charged with Burglary of a Habitation F/2 and Evading Arrest on Foot M/A.
