Hallsville ISD student excel academically in tournaments

The Hallsville High School Math and Science team traveled to the Texas Math and Science Coaches’ Association State Meet recently.
For the third consecutive year in a row, the Hallsville team won the championship, which is considered an unprecedented accomplishment.
Hallsville High School had 3,872 points over Vela High School’s 3,560 and College Station High School’s 3,551.
In other news, Hallsville hosted the 9th Annual Tournament of Hearts. The school administered over 1,400 tests to 37 schools.
The team had a record-breaking performance with three perfect scores. Hallsville speech and debate did not compete this weekend as they were helping to run the tournament, and without any points from them, Hallsville was still able to win sweepstakes by more than 350 points.

2nd Place – Pine Tree High School (141 Points)
3rd Place – Lindale High School (128 Points)
