Sam Houston’s Fitzpatrick, Greer Honored By NSCS


10-14-16-shms-fitzpatrick-1The Wiley College Chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) nominated Sam Houston Middle School’s Peru Greer (sixth grade teacher) and Angela Fitzpatrick (principal) for a Distinguished Honorary Member for “our dedication to to NSCA’ core values of scholarship, leadership, and service.”

NSCS is an honor society founded in 1994 on the campus of The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Their mission is to recognize and elevate high achievers for a lifetime through scholarships, career and graduate school connections, and leadership and service opportunities.

NSCS is a member of The Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS), the nation’s only certifying agency for university honor societies, and a recognized organization at over 350 universities across the country. As a Distinguished Honorary Member, Fitzpatrick and Greer will have all the rights and benefits of a lifetime member of the Society. This honorary membership is a formal recognition for our outstanding contributions to the community.

Other Distinguished Honorary Members include President Jimmy Carter, Senator John McCain, and University Presidents at the University of Miami, James Madison University and Michigan State University.
