Moustapha earns RRAC co-Attacker of the Week


rebecca_mustapha_207_wvb (1)Rebecca Moustapha’s strong performance in the Oklahoma Wesleyan Invitational earns her a share of the Red River Athletic Conference co-Attacker of the Week.

This is the first player of the week awards of the season. In four matches, Moustapha led the Lady Wildcats with 48 kills – an average of 3.2 per set. Her high was 16 in Wiley’s four-set victory over Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Moustapha also led the team in blocks during the invitational with 23 – including 12 against SAGU.

After missing last season due to injury, Moustapha ranks second in the conference with 3.1 kills per set and third in hitting percentage at .311. She is third in blocks per set with 1.0 – trailing teammates Olena Fedorenko and Jayme Bazile.

The Lady Wildcats went 3-1 in the Oklahoma Wesleyan Invitational. Wiley swept the host OKWU, fell to College of the Ozarks, beat St. Gregory’s and SAGU. The Lady Wildcats enter this week at 4-4. Sydnie Beckett was nominated for Setter of the Week and Miyah Keller was nominated for Defender of the Week.
