Marshall HS Graduation Set for June 13

Marshall ISD and Marshall High School have announced that graduation for the Class of 2020 has been set for Saturday, June 13, at 9:30 a.m. in Maverick Stadium.

Dr. Jerry Gibson, Superintendent, and Mr. Matt Gregory, MHS Principal, made the announcement during a Facebook Live broadcast Thursday morning. The details of the adjusted graduation were finalized after state government officials and the Texas Education Agency released graduation ceremony guidelines during the re-opening phases of the state during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Each senior will receive an allotment of 8 tickets to give to family and/or friends. Only those with a ticket will be allowed into the stadium for graduation, and the district will enforce social distancing guidelines in the seating areas.

The graduation will also be streamed live online for those who do not have a ticket.

The annual Senior Breakfast will take place at MHS at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, with a graduation rehearsal in the stadium set for 9:30 a.m. following the breakfast.
