Gohmert To Koskinen: You Have What Might Be Called ‘Willful Ignorance’
Today, Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01) questioned IRS Commissioner John Koskinen in a House Judiciary Hearing. He powerfully noted to Mr. Koskinen, “When you are asked under oath about the existence of e-mails – there really is an obligation to learn about the e-mails and where they are and where they exist.”
Rep. Gohmert went on to read from the IRS Manual regarding fraud.
“You’ve had ample opportunities over the last two years to disclose things or maybe to make inquiry. But, it certainly appears you might have what might be called ‘willful ignorance’ so you don’t have to come up here and testify about what actually happened.”
