City announces special-called meeting

MARSHALL– The City  of Marshall has announced that there will be a special-called city commission meeting at 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, in the commission chambers at city hall.

According to the official agenda released Friday, only one item is scheduled for discussion and possible action.

The item involves the naming of a City Secretary/Finance Director – a role which has been vacant since Lisa Agnor was appointed to be city manager.

There will be after a call-to-order and roll call,an executive session. As pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code under Section 551.074 Personnel Matters, the executive session will be allowed.

This will concern interviews for the said position. Once the commission comes back after executive session, if the commissioners are ready to do so, action will take place in the appointment of a city secretary/finance director.

After this, the meeting is scheduled to adjourn.
