With her second consecutive top-10 finish at the Ken Garland Invitational Saturday, Maureen Rono wins Red River Athletic Conference Runner of the Week for the second straight week.
Rono finished seventh among College Division II athletes with a time of 21:14.4 (6:48) in the five-kilometer race. Last week, Rono finished fourth in the Braveheart Invitational. This award is Rono’s fifth Runner of the Week in her Wiley College career.
She enters this season as a three-time NAIA Qualifier (Three with Wiley College) and a two-time RRAC All-Conference Runner. In 2014, she helped the Lady Wildcats win their first conference title.
