MHS Band wins in sweepstakes

Congratulations to the Marshall High School Big Red Pride Band, which earned straight “ones” from all three judges in both Stage Performance and Sightreading at yesterday’s Spring UIL Contest held in Mt. Pleasant.

The MHS Non-Varsity Band also achieved straight ones in stage performance at contest. The band is under the direction of David Densmore and assistants Colby Porter, Aaron Zeller, Zach VanderElzen and Erika Zeller.

    Congratulations to the award winning BIG RED PRIDE BAND!! Great job for all the hard word put into what y’all do best and it pays off again. As a former member of the BIG RED PRIDE, it makes me proud and I got my head held high. I loved being in the band and everytime we got “straight ones” we were all ready to bust out with some great big emotions and I know y’all did theme same!! Congratulations again for all the hard work you put in everyday perfecting y’all selection to knock’em out and to show ’em HOW WE DO IT IN LITTLE OL MARSHALL ,TEXAS!! Also, a big thank you to all the directors that gave their time and effort to make the band it is today!!
